Hollister 8" X 8" (20 cm x 20 cm) #9925 Restore Extra Thin Hydrocolloid Dressing – Sterile
Restore Extra Thin Dressing- Sterile. A Thin, Occlusive Dressing With Flexible Film Backing. 8" X 8" (20 cm x 20 cm)
A thin, sterile, occlusive dressing with a flexible outer layer that helps isolate the wound against bacterial and viral (HIV-1 and HBV) contaminants and other external contamination, such as urine and feces, while the dressing remains intact without leakage. The self-adhesive inner layer maintains a moist wound environment while absorbing excess wound exudate to prevent fluid pooling.

Choose the correct size Restore Hydrocolloid Dressing so that it extends one inch beyond the wound edges on all sides. (Dressings may be overlapped or cut to accommodate the size of the wound).
Remove dressing from the package. (Restore Hydrocolloid Dressings are provided in sterile packages if aseptic technique is required).
Remove the release papers from the dressing. (Too much handling of the adhesive may interfere with good dressing and skin contact).
Center the dressing over the wound site. (The dressing will not adhere to the moist wound surface. If required, fill in dead space prior to application of the dressing).
Gently press the dressing to the skin and smooth out wrinkles. (For difficult-to-manage sites, hold the dressing in place for 60 seconds to improve adherence. Taping off the edges of the dressing is not required but may help in areas of high friction such as heels, elbows, or coccyx).
Put on gloves.
Carefully lift an edge of the dressing while pressing down on the skin.
Continue this procedure around the wound bed until all edges are free of the skin.
Dispose of dressing properly.
Document dressing change wound measurements and other pertinent observations regarding the wound or periwound site.
Note: Restore Hydrocolloid Dressing should be left in place (not more than 7 days) unless it is uncomfortable, leaking, or there are clinical signs of infection.
